Bactoreef®: bacteria specifically designed for your aquarium!

Bactoreef® provides everything your reef and marine aquarium needs in terms of bacteria. An aquarium cannot function without bacteria — life can only establish and thrive in the presence of beneficial bacterial communities.

Bactoreef® is ideal for cycling your aquarium during start-up, restart, reset, relocation, aquascape changes or system transfers. It is also highly effective for year-round maintenance and for preventing the appearance of cyanobacteria and invasive algae.

Through biological and nutrient competition, it helps prevent the growth of nuisance algae such as encrusting, filamentous, benthic and pelagic species (diatoms, valonia, derbesia, etc.). It also helps reduce nitrates and phosphates while stabilizing water parameters.

By cleaning, recycling and breaking down waste through bio-digestion, Bactoreef® quickly restores crystal-clear water.

In addition, Bactoreef® unclogs the pores of your live rock and revitalizes your substrate. It reopens the micro-structures of your rocks, allowing them to “breathe” again, and deeply cleans the sand bed to better support and host microfauna.

The bacteria in Bactoreef® actively promote the development and growth of microfauna, contributing to a healthier, more balanced aquarium.

It also nourishes and supports all types of corals in marine and reef aquariums (LPS, SPS, soft corals), helping maintain them in optimal health.

The role of bacteria in a reef aquarium

Bactoreef® composition: a live, 100% biological product

Bactoreef® is a premium, 100% biological product composed of diverse live aerobic and anaerobic bacteria, enzymes, nitrifying and denitrifying microorganisms, and marine-specific bacterial strains.

Thanks to our dedicated research laboratory, our formulations are continuously improved. Highly effective and versatile, Bactoreef® is carefully produced to ensure quality, concentration and cost-efficient use.

To develop a product specifically tailored for reef aquariums, daphbio® collaborated with a coral specialist to source bacteria exclusively from marine environments. To preserve their effectiveness, a biological conservation process was selected.

This is how Bactoreef® was created — featuring a broad spectrum of marine bacteria that reactivate and multiply once introduced into the aquarium.

Directions for use:

Dose 1 ml per 100 liters every morning, with the protein skimmer running. Shake well before use.

For optimal purification, we recommend combining Bactoreef® with Microfaune Booster®. The synergy between both products significantly expands the bacterial spectrum, while feeding microfauna, microorganisms, corals and all filter feeders.

Microfaune Booster® contains diverse strains of phytoplankton, bacterioplankton and bacteria. Together, these products promote a complete ecosystem including bacteria, microfauna, microorganisms, meiofauna and macrofauna within your aquarium.
