A cyanobacteria invasion can rapidly become the scourge of a reef aquarium, but like all living organisms, cyanobacteria have predators (in the same way that ladybirds predate on aphids). We offer an organic natural treatment that should see off cyanobacteria within 8 days, maybe up to 3 weeks if the attack is substantial.
What should be done?
Use salt with no additives. Unfortunately, most salts have additives, and these additives are favourable to cyanobacteria development.
Stop adding calcium, magnesium and oligo-elements during the treatment period.
Remove the cyanobacteria manually, and change your water as usual, but with additive-free salt.
Use our organic treatment based on bacteria that kill cyanobacteria. Our bacteria cause no harm to coral or the aquarium’s other residents.
