Sea salt
To curb the appearance of algae, we recommend using additive-free sea salt, such as Instant Ocean.
Magnesium and calcium
Keep an eye on the amount of magnesium and calcium added. Any unconsumed excess can encourage the appearance of algae.
Aquarium lighting
Powerful or poorly adjusted lighting will encourage algae and cyanobacteria growth. We recommend you to reduce the intensity of LEDs, particularly reds and blues, under which algae and cyanobacteria flourish.
